My dearest gentle reader,

My online alias is Anne D.

I am a 25-year-old Hungarian-born Vietnamese girl. My actual first name is Dieu Anh, but I like to be called Anna, Anne or any of my nicknames (especially by people who don't speak Vietnamese).

Those of you who have followed my work for a while now will know that I used to blog on G-Portál. My first blog (The Stories of Anne) focused on my stories, but after a while, I felt running it was pointless and deleted it. However, in October 2019 I decided to give blogging another chance and created the Wynessa, a menedék (Wynessa, the shelter) blog on G-Portál. I mainly published stories - short stories and (mini)novels - and personal or opinion-sharing articles, but I could publish anything that was on my mind or that I felt like sharing. By the summer of 2024, I felt that even though I loved blogging on G-Portál, it was time to move elsewhere, so Wix became Wynessa's new home. Although the platform and site layout have changed, the topics won't change much. A few months after moving to Wix, I felt that I had reached a certain limit with only posting in Hungarian, so in 2025 I also started to write in English so my thoughts could reach an international audience.

Meanwhile, around 2018 I also explored creating fanvids, which I combined with the concept of blog trailers, and only tried it for my own fictional worlds or the ones that were created by people I played FRPG (Forum Role-Playing Game) with.

Then, in 2020, I started to make Hungarian subtitles for Skam remakes, first for Druck and then for wtFock. In 2022, I took over editing the Skamonline Hungary fanpage from Letti and continued her work on a new site for a while.

My real name (Dieu Anh) was suggested to my mother by my maternal grandfather.
Favourite colours: blue, pink, purple, red, burgundy (I've also started to like beige and pastel colours lately)
I was called Baba for a long time when I was younger, then in high school, I was called KisAnna (SmallAnna) because I was short (154 cm).
I had surgery on my left armpit when I was a few weeks old because apparently, my body had a negative reaction to a childhood vaccination.
When I was in elementary school, I was probably the only one who didn't cry every time I, for example, bruised something or anything like that happened to me. Maybe it was because I was such a clumsy kid, and it happened a lot. However, I never broke anything.
I am currently fluent or near-fluent in three languages: Hungarian, Vietnamese and English. I also had some basic knowledge of French.
I was planning to be a doctor or a research biologist, but I was not very good at chemistry. So I ended up doing a degree in Business Administration and Management.
I'm a February-born Aquarius with an Ascendant in Sagittarius, born in the year of the Dragon. According to Snapchat, the rest of my birth chart looks like this:

I am ambidextrous. I always use whichever hand comes more naturally to a particular activity. However, I can only do the more precise stuff (e.g. writing, drawing) with my right hand, while my left hand is stronger (at least when I had a test in PE where I had to squeeze a device, it gave a higher score for my left hand). The reason for this is that according to my brother I was originally left-handed when I was little, but I was taught to use my right hand instead
I haven't watched TV for some years now. I even re-watched Exatlon on tv2play after the end of the TV broadcast.
I can multitask. So even if I'm very tired, I can still multitask. That's why it's harder for me to concentrate on only one thing at a time.
In addition to the previous point, I have music playing every second of the time I am at home, I just can't exist in absolute silence. It doesn't even interfere with studying. But of course, I don't listen to music when I'm watching a series, sleeping or simply distracted and forget to put on music (btw, I currently have music playing :D). I can also listen to/love all kinds of music (my playlist, my Spotify profile). However, when I'm on the road or with people, I never listen to music because I like to pay attention to my surroundings.
I have a good singing voice. I used to be a choir member for years in primary school and I had a soprano voice back then (now more mezzo). Since then I only sing sometimes as a hobby. Ever since I was a kid I could burst out singing almost anytime I can let myself go and not pay too much attention to not singing/humming. It was especially funny when my brother had to wake up to me humming early in the morning or when I had a favourite song and I was constantly singing it.
I'm a film and series addict. Some of my favourite series include Skam, La Casa de Papel, The Handmaid's Tale, Elite, Sex Education, Lucifer, Stranger Things, Tribes of Europa, Dark, The Magicians, The 100, Siren, Foundation and I could go on and on. My favourite films include the Marvel movies and The Host.
I consider myself an introvert who doesn't talk much face-to-face. However, I consider myself to be a very kind and relatively understanding person with whom it's easy to have a good conversation in writing. Or if I can find a common ground with someone, I may not be able to stop talking.
I usually don't care about other people's opinions, especially about my appearance, but if I hear a negative and/or hateful comment, it still can hurt me.
I am very empathetic, which means I can feel 90% of the mood of my surroundings. Of course, I can't always do this.
Although I follow Buddhist practices because of my family, I don't belong to any religion. To some extent, I can believe in a higher power, but I am not religious.
I can be picky about what I eat. Some foods I don't eat because I don't like the taste or because they make me sick. However, I have never eaten 70% of the food, but I made up my mind that I would never try it :D
I am bad at time management, which goes hand in hand with procrastination. So I often find myself doing things in a hurry at the last minute. But lately, I've been trying to pay more attention to this, for example by thinking about tasks in advance and planning my days roughly and how much time I need.

Around 2014 one of my friends told me to play the "Csábításból jeles" game, so I tried it because it was kinda popular in our group of friends. After I started to like the game, I did two things. First I joined the Facebook group called "Csábításból jeles - Miharu Channel". While browsing the feed there I found plenty of blog posts related to the game world. So first I wrote a blog novel called "Carmina története" (Carmina's Story), then when I wanted to advertise it, I accidentally found the first version of an FRPG (Forum Role-Playing Game) called Cruel Island (I created my character Haydée Foix for its second version, link). At first, I thought the concept of FRPG was like The Sims games, so I signed up with my first-ever character, Anne Darkness. But as I started to play, I got more and more into it. Since then I've been on lots of FRPG pages on G-Portál, while over time I've been able to write longer and more detailed responses in my character's POV because at first, I only wrote 4-5 lines on the Cruel Island page. I also could create more and more diverse characters for those games, I only started to recycle my old characters in recent years (for example William Vosburg). Roleplaying became a big part of my life, just like writing, and for a long time I felt like I couldn't live without it (I tried once, but even then I was constantly looking at those pages and eventually created a new character on a new page).

I stopped roleplaying a while ago. However, I used to play FRPG on G-Portál (I almost applied on the Silhouette page on Hungarianforum, but nothing came out of it). I also roleplayed on Facebook sometimes.

My travel diary - I consider travelling an important part of my life. I like to explore the world in general, but I think there's a lot to be gained from discovering new places, cultures and languages. It's a time for gaining experiences, getting away from the daily grind for a few days, and it's also a reminder that there's a whole universe beyond our bubble. In this spreadsheet, I've tried to collect the places on our planet Earth that I've visited and what's on my wishlist that I'd want to visit in my lifetime.

Stuff I watch and read - In this complex spreadsheet, you can find the shows and movies that I watch and later the books that I read. I think these are also an important part of recreation. Especially when I'm not content with my life, or I find my everyday life too boring, these can help me get out of the "greyness". Through these, I can experience more eventful and exciting alternative realities and meet (life) stories that I might not experience in real life.

101-1001 Bucket lists - In this spreadsheet, you can find my bucket lists compiled in "101 Things I want to do in 1001 days" format. When I began, I thought it would be a good way to "gamify" setting goals and evaluate the elapsed period. Since then, I've decided to keep this as a tradition, and I'll do several 1001-day cycles in the future.

Music - Generally, I listen to a wide variety of music and there's almost always something playing in the background when I'm home. When I'm outside, strangely enough for other people, I rarely listen to music or shut out the outside world because I like to hear what's happening around me and if necessary, react to things in time. For example, if I can listen to an ambulance siren from a few blocks away, it would be helpful if I could decide whether it's safe to cross the road or I'd be hit. But apart from that, like writing, music is also an important part of my life. What I'm listening to or singing often reflects my current emotional state or the mood I want to be in. So I can say that music is also a form of self-expression, a projection of my soul.
